Take Me at My Word

This has been coming up over and over again, so I figured I would share it.

In a recent conversation with the LORD I heard Him say, “I have given everyone the ability to believe and how they/you choose to is up to you.” I was like what do you mean? He said “Well, when you start thinking or saying something to yourself that is in contradiction to what I say about you then you have chosen to believe the enemy over me. Anxiety, insecurity, anger, impatience, bitterness and offense just to name a few, are not from ME. When you tell yourself these things or are acting any of them out, you have chosen to look and act like the enemy. None of this is who I say you are and I would really like it if you would take Me at My Word, not only about who you are but also about who I AM.” This really stirred something up inside me because the last thing I want to do is believe the enemy over my Heavenly Father!

I remember while growing up, whatever my dad said was the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. When I went to school and someone tried to tell me anything different the fight was on. I’m sure I’m not the only one to experience this. If I’m willing to put that kind of confidence in a man, and God says that He is not a man that He could lie…. then what am I doing thinking anything different from what my Heavenly Father has to say about or to me.

In a conversation with a friend we were talking about insecurity and she said, “Well, we all have some kind of insecurity.” I realized we as believers shouldn’t because HE very clearly tells us we are secure in His Love, in the palm of His hand and He will never leave or forsake us. We actually should be the MOST secure people walking the planet.

I have found myself praying for things, which if I had taken HIM at HIS Word, I would have realized He has already given me. As I get more into scripture, (being an audio/visual learner I also like to listen to scripture on my phone), when HE says, “Don’t be anxious about anything but with prayer and thanksgiving… His peace will guard my heart and mind in Christ.” WOW! I’m completely covered with HIS peace if I choose to trust Him.

He also says stuff like, we don’t have to worry about what we will eat or drink or wear because He’s got it taken care of and if earthly Fathers know how to give good gifts to their children then how much more does our Heavenly Father know how to give. I understand there are some earthly Fathers who don’t know their true identity and so they live Fatherhood out of a wrong one, but we can ALWAYS count on our Heavenly Father no matter what. All of this stems from being in relationship with HIM. As our Heavenly Father, He is the best and He loves His kids so very much!

Instead of freaking out when things come our way; due to circumstance, other people or even our own doing, one of my favorite people to listen to (Graham Cooke), teaches that God likes for us to ask Him, “What would you like ME to be for you in this situation?” I think this is amazing because it takes us out of victim mentality and puts us right where we are supposed to be, VICTOR mentality!

I just think if we do as HE says, “Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ; don’t be conformed to this world any longer but be transformed by renewing our mind, thinking on what is true, pure, praiseworthy, excellent, lovely…” this helps us step into our true identity, which gives us the ability to recognize the enemy’s lies that try to come against us and see them for just what they are, LIES!

I have only begun to scratch the surface of all the things ABBA Father has to say about me/us, so I highly recommend checking it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Now that HE has given me this revelation, I refuse to give the enemy any part of me and I’m choosing to take HIM at His Word! Who is with me?

Blessings,

Just ME

  1. I appreciate the amazing heart you have! ?❤️?

While this post is so awesome and full of amazing revelation, which I appreciate being able to read and learn from…
There is something else more pressing that I would like to comment on.

The portion below in quotes which I have copied from your blog and pasted here:
“Hi there, I’m MaryEllen. I am crazy in love with Jesus, my husband and family. My hearts desire is to help people recognize their true identity in Christ and walk in that freedom. Hopefully you will find this site inspiring, insightful, and even give you a few laughs.”

This is completely the truth about who you are! Your life, actions, words, understanding etc. are all beautiful representations of Jesus.
You and Holy Spirit have most definitely helped me to recognize my true identity in Jesus and I am walking in complete freedom!
You have been such a beautiful inspiration and gift to my life this past month. Thank you for sharing His heart with everyone but especially with me. ??❤️ I love and appreciate you.
P.s. You really are funny as well. ???

  2. Some very timely words as I took my car into the shop today! The Lord said He would provide and so I am going to take Him at His word.

God has been using His name “I AM” to speak to me a lot lately. So when I saw it in your post, I took notice. I always thought the name was a bit weird, till I realized that it was just the start. As in, I AM everything you need to get this job done, so get to it! This name now lets me know that while I am NOT….. He is everything!
